Miami Overview

Miami is a melting pot of
culture and diversity.  Located at
the southern-most tip of Florida
near Cuba, Miami welcomes
and caters to tourists.

Miami’s climate is as
diverse as its people.  Post
cards of Miami traditionally
show palm trees and blue
skies, and although it enjoys
a subtropical climate with lots
of sun all year round, it does
have a rainy season from June
to November.  The hurricane
season coincides with the
rainy season.

Miami is easy to traverse.  Visitors can rent bikes, scooters, cars and even boats in Miami.  Miami is a walking city, so pack comfortable shoes.  There is a good county-wide bus system, and taxis are readily available throughout the city.

Almost half of Miami’s population is Latin American.  The latin culture has had a significant effect on making Miami the interesting city that it is.
